One of Play’n GO’s three wealth-themed slots is called Beast of Wealth. All three are progressive jackpots, so they both sound and look rich. Even though this genre isn’t particularly strong for Play’n GO, they’ve decided to launch three new games all at once. Is it anticipated that one will become the fan favorite? Or maybe they simply happened to have a lot of Asian skins and code hanging around and decided to put it to good use. I don’t know. We do know that all three are Asian-based and offer four different progressive jackpots for players looking to hit it big.
Beast of Wealth is the most conventionally styled of the three books in the trilogy. When the game loads, there is no ambiguity about your location. The 5-reel, 243-way-to-win playing area is surrounded by a typically Asian timber temple with a tile roof. Mountains and mist loom in the background, and lanterns dangle from it. As we were saying, it has a more traditional Asian style.
Players may take part in the quest by betting anywhere from 10 pence to $100 each spin on their smartphones, tablets, or computers. Like Celebration of Wealth and Temple of Wealth, the mathematical approach generates statistics like very high, but not cruel volatility (7/10 according to the studio). Although still respectable for a progressive that requires a portion of every bet be added to the pot, the RTP has taken a hit and is now set at 96.17% as a default. As with other Play’n GO titles, the RTP varies, so it’s best to have a look at the paytable before you dive in.
The paytable gives you 10 standard symbols to deal with, including 6 low-paying royals and 4 high-paying symbols. The highs are a figurative menagerie of animals including turtles, birds, tigers, and dragons. With five consecutive premiums, you may double or even triple your bet. Wild lines are equivalent to the high-paying dragon symbol. The gong-shaped wild symbol can appear anywhere on the reels to complete winning combos by standing in for any other symbol (save the scatter).
Characteristics of a Wealthy Beast
When compared to its contemporaries, Beast of Wealth’s set of features is similarly minimalistic. The game’s base mode is rather simplistic until the extras are activated. There are two types of bonuses: free spins and a jackpot.
The Yin and Yang icon is the key to free games. They can show up on any of the reels and pay out 5, 10, or 50 times the wager for 3, 4, or 5 of them respectively. Three scattered anywhere in view activates free games, with the usual five bonus features available to pick from:
118 new Turtle icons have been added to the reels.
Birds: 108 new Bird icons on the reels.
The reels have been populated with a total of 98 tigers.
Dragons – 88 new Dragon icons on the grid.
Option 5 is a puzzle that can yield anywhere from 88 to 118 of any given symbol. The dragon is now appealing since it is the highest paying symbol. There are fewer of them, thus constructing combinations is more challenging. In other words, the volatility experienced by players will vary with the choice selected.
All other premium symbols are eliminated from play during free spins, leaving just the selected symbol as a potential result. Eight free spins are awarded initially, and the round may be restarted by getting three or more scatter symbols.
Scatters are nice and all, but if you want to win the big money, go for the Gold Reels symbol. One to five reels on any base game spin can become Gold Reels. If a wild symbol lands on at least one of them, the jackpot round will begin. Once activated, the player will be shown a total of 12 logo coins, each representing a different jackpot (Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand). If you reveal three identical jackpots, you’ll be awarded the equivalent prize. The larger the wager, the greater the possibility of winning the jackpot, which is maintained at a rate of 1.5% of each stake.
Judgment of the Wealthy Beast
The similarities between Beast of Wealth and the first two games in the series make it hard to tell them apart. The bonus round has been improved, but you’ll still need to fire up if you want a shot at the progressive jackpot. There isn’t a huge amount of difference between the three games, although Beast of Wealth has a somewhat more Asian vibe. The odds, mathematical models, and odds of winning anything other than the jackpot are all the same.
How then is a player supposed to decide which to use? The truth is that you cannot. Since they are all connected, it’s possible that players are after the same prizes. Free spins are unique, so trying out all three games is your best bet for settling on a favorite.
